Sungmin is a Managing Partner and one of the firm’s co-founders.

Prior to Ark & Partners, Sungmin was with VIG Partners and Vogo Fund (the predecessor of VIG) from 2012 to 2020, where his primary focus was on sourcing, deal executions and value creation of growth stage companies. Before joining VIG Partners, he worked for the Global Investment Research division at Goldman Sachs.

With a keen eye for businesses with growth potential, Sungmin has brought his expertise in post-acquisition management valuing high-performing management team, good sense of teamwork and trust-based relationship with portfolio company’s CEOs.

Sungmin holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration from Korea University.
